We got on the Stray Bus in Picton, after taking the ferry back from Wellington. Stopped at a vineyard in Nelson for some wine tasting (or watching for me). Then on to Marahau, a small town on the edge of the Abel Tasman National Park. Of course it was pouring rain making our trip a bit less enjoyable. The next morning it was still raining, but not as hard. Ashley & I went for a hike along the Coastal Track & on up into the Inland Track. We hiked about 4 ½ hours in the drizzling rain. We were soaked, but it was beautiful. The “hostel” here is quite rustic. It’s really a farm with a few cabins on the property. I chose the cabin we’re in because a peacock was on the porch when we arrived & he’s been hanging around the whole time. That’s pretty awesome if you ask me.
You looked pissed at the peacock.
